Charities You Feel Closest To
The Salvation Army and its winter bell ringing drive is a charity that my father has been involved with as long as I can remember. I remember being a little boy and going with him to ring the bells I was able to understand that I was doing something to help those that were not as fortunate as me. My company Colorful Remedies takes time out of our work day in the month of December to ring bells for the Salvation Army and it is something that we all feel good about. The fact that the Salvation Army has been involved and committed to raising money for the less fortunate for such a long time is a great thing.

As a company we also like to get involved in other events that go to support a good cause like runs for MS or Charities that help families dealing with cancer. We often donate our services at silent auctions to help raise money for notable causes.

Boards/Committees You Are A Member Of
I am not currently a member of any boards or committees. As continue to establish myself and my business I would like to get more involved with giving back. I am a passionate soccer fan, coach, and former player. I would like to someday give back to the community through soccer foundations that provide less fortunate youth with the resources to enjoy and learn about the game of soccer by teaching them about teamwork and work ethic and providing the necessary resources to enjoy the game of soccer.

Most Recent Non-Profit Social Event You Attended
As a company we recently partnered with GoodWorks based out of Chester County. GoodWorks is nonprofit organization that takes on home improvement projects for under privileged home owners that cannot afford to complete these projects. Colorful Remedies and GoodWorks completed a complete custom interior painting project for a Home Owner in Coatesville PA. Colorful Remedies was also able to get Sherwin Williams to donate all the paint necessary to complete the project. It was very rewarding experience to provide someone with services that truly enhanced the enjoyment they gained from their home that they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to achieve without an organization like GoodWorks.

Next Non-Profit Social Event You Have On Your Calendar
Rotary Club of West Chester’s Chili Cook-off this October 2013. This will be our 4th year entering into this great event held in downtown West Chester. It is very good team bonding experience for our company an excellent event for the Rotary Club to raise money to support the many good causes that they are involved in.

Non-Profit Social Event You Look Forward To Each Year
The Chili Cook-Off in West Chester is probably the event that I look forward to the most. We take great pride in our chili making and we have placed on 2 different occasions for our Chili. Once being picked first in 2010 for the business category and last year placing 3rd for our Chili. It is a competition for us and the event takes a lot of preparation with setting up our Chili tent at 7am the morning of the event to start prepping our Chili.

If You Could Have One Superpower, What Would It Be
I would want to go back in time with the knowledge I have of the world now. There are so many points in history that I would love to see or experience firsthand. Colonial Times in the United States would probably be my first choice.

Favorite Pastime In The Greater Philadelphia Region
C’mon the U! I am huge Philadelphia Union supporter and our company is a season ticket holder. It has been such an amazing experience for me to see the team start from scratch with a beautiful stadium built in Chester PA. The support for the team is extremely passionate and the game day atmosphere at PPL, in my opinion, is the best sporting environment in the Philadelphia area. I highly recommend attending a game to anyone who has not been yet.

Best Advice You Have Ever Received
There is no substitute for hard work… Nothing in life is easily obtained without some sweat, stress, and tough decisions. In most all situations in life you are going to get out what you put in. The reward is always worth the effort it takes and the feeling of accomplishment one gets when rewarded for the hard work put in is a natural high that cannot be beat. In this day and age it is very easy to think that success and good fortune comes easy with the way success is portrayed on tv and in the media. However, success is the reward that any individual gets for setting hard goals, and then focusing all efforts on achieving those goals and being determined to get it right no matter how hard or long the journey.

Favorite Childhood Memory
When I think of my childhood I immediately think of all the great experiences I had playing youth soccer. I am still great friends with many of the guys I played soccer with starting at the age 9. I can attribute so many life lessons, friendships, memories, and family trips to the sport of soccer which will all stay with me for the rest of my life.

Fun Fact About Yourself
Passion for Traveling – Recently spent 2 weeks in Europe with my wife going to Paris, Amsterdam, and all over Spain. I am answering these questions from Aspen Colorado enjoying the amazing summer and all that outdoor excitement that comes with the Rocky Mountains. The saying in Colorado is that, “You come here for the winter, but you end up staying because of the summer.” I recommend a trip to Colorado for anyone who has never been.
